I’ve just returned from hosting an incredible golf coaching trip in the beautiful Algarve, Portugal — and it was a truly memorable experience from start to finish.
As one of the hosts and coaches, I was delighted to welcome a fantastic group of golfers, supported by fellow golf professional Samantha Head. Sam is a LET (Ladies European Tour) winner and an incredible all-round golf coach. Together, we created a positive, focused, and enjoyable learning environment in one of Europe’s most stunning golfing destinations. Throughout the trip, our coaching covered the key foundations of the golf.
The progress made by everyone who attended was outstanding. Players saw clear improvements in consistency, confidence, and overall understanding of their game. It was especially rewarding to watch golfers take what they learnt on the practice ground and apply it successfully on the course. They all had the privilege of Sam playing with them, giving them on-course guidance. I unfortunately could not play, but I did walk part of the way, encouraging everyone and giving guidance when needed.
The Algarve provided the perfect backdrop, with fantastic courses, great weather, and a relaxed atmosphere that allowed golfers to learn, practise, and play without pressure. The combination of high-quality coaching, on-course guidance, and a supportive group made this trip a real success. Hosting and coaching experiences like this is one of the most fulfilling parts of what I do.
